Anna found that it was sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. The legs clicked into place and the zippers were secured for security. It took her about 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video as well as a customer support number available if you run into any problems.

This is one of Chicco’s more expensive options. However, it comes with a lot of excellent features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel thanks to a brand new mechanism. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings as well as retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and down with a single push of a switch. This was a huge help during feeding times at night because it meant they could reach into and pick up their baby without waking them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended because it increases the chance that your child will get out of the cot. The safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will only remain in place if it's connected correctly to the mattress of the parent. This is an excellent feature to have for peace of mind, especially when you're breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.
Telescopic legs permit the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, including divan bases or beds with drawers. It also comes with tilting functions for babies with reflux and a rocking mode that can soothe them back to sleep after eating. It's also incredibly spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers even with the lengthy instruction manual. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still quite mobile and can be moved from room to room with ease. It can also be folded into a bag for travel which is ideal when you need to transport it. The only issue our testers have found is that the side panel did not stretch as much as other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to see the baby from your bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're in search of a crib for your bed that will expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It's a sleeper crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be converted into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and enhancing the bond you have with your new born.

The motion of gliding was found to be very helpful in lulling babies into sleep after feedings at midday or night. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a huge selling point for our tired moms who took part in our tests. Although it doesn't rock or come with extra features such as an audio system, the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functional features are a welcome addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
