The side panel that slides out of the cot can be lifted and lowered with just a push of a single button. This makes it simple to reach inside and soothe a crying baby in the night. It has 11 height adjustments to fit nearly any mattress size, and adjustable folding feet so that it's at the right height.
The cot is cushioned and has mesh sides that allow for more ventilation, and its mattress is made of high-density, foam for extra protection. It's also washable so you can keep it clean. Additionally, it is fitted with a sheet that is suitable for the cot.

Unlike some other bedside cribs like the Roomie Glide is suitable for the majority of beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a standalone crib when not attached to your bed, and it's full of amazing features that are designed with parent-baby bonding in mind.
One thing to keep in mind is that while this crib is perfect for newborns, it won't last long after your little one turns six months old, which means you'll have to purchase a bigger cot. Overall, Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she was particularly impressed by its sleek design.
John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for such an item. She also liked the way it was positioned in the bedroom and thought that the grey color would suit most modern homes. She did mention that it's not a good idea to rock a baby when it's younger as it could create an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib designed with a safe night's sleep in mind. It comes with a drop-side rail that can be easily adjusted to feed your child at night without disturbing them or causing them to get out of bed. This is ideal for mothers who breastfeed! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.
It's made of soft material and has breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It comes in oak or charcoal with a variety of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with most decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed, with the legs firmly snapping into the bed and the zips secured for baby-safety. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer support number if you have any problems.
In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a bedside crib that include the ability to be connected to your existing bed with a stay-in-place connector system and six levels of height The CoZee comes with an additional incline option that can be used to alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It's also machine-washable, a necessity with all the dribble and vomit that comes with having a newborn!
The CoZee is a great option if you want to keep your child in the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it could be transformed into an actual cot. It isn't able to feed your baby, or magically put them to sleep it will gently rock them and send them off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it has a lot of great features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib that is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel, and is simple to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height levels as well as feet that retract to place under any bed.
Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides that can be flipped up and down by pressing a button. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them.
It is possible to lower the side panel itself but this is not recommended because it increases the chance that your child could get out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism means that it can only remain in place when it is attached to the bed of the parent correctly. bedside travel cot is an excellent feature to have for peace of mind, especially in the case of breastfeeding and frequent nighttime feedings.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers due to the telescopic legs. It comes with a tilting function for reflux babies, and a rocking function to help calm them after a meal. It's also incredibly spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
Our test subjects found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it does come with a long instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers but it can still be easily moved from one room to another. It's small enough to be able to fit into its travel bag when not in use which is a plus when you have to transport it. The only issue our testers have found is that the side panel didn't flex as much compared to other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to see your baby from your bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're in search of a crib for your bed that will develop with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth looking into. It's a sleeper crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be transformed into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and enhancing the bond between you and your baby's new.
Unlike some other models of bedside crib like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The dual-view mesh side panels and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable increase airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline helps to ease reflux and colic and colic, while the zip-down side allows you to feed or soothe your baby during the night.
The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to start. It took us about an hour to assemble, and was reasonably straightforward. The only downside to the instructions was that certain images were not captioned. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, it was an easy procedure and the quality of materials used was high.
The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for mothers who are breastfeeding or have had a c-section. It lets them reach out and hold their baby for comfort and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's also great for those who want to avoid the hassle of getting into and out of a traditional cot, or putting their baby down to sleep.
During our tests, we found the gliding motion of this next to me crib to be especially helpful when it comes to getting babies to sleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a major selling point for our exhausted moms who took part in our tests. While it doesn't rock or have additional features like a sound system the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our best bedside crib reviews.
